Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its battle royale counterpart, Call of Duty: Warzone, are doing gangbusters, just as you’d expect from the series. But it’s another year, and that means another Call of Duty is lurking deep within the shadows. Nothing official has been revealed yet, but rumors are flying, and today we got a few from everyone’s favorite source.
Jason Schreier of Kotaku fame (soon to be Bloomberg fame), answered a few questions about the next entry in the series. First and foremost, it does seem like the game is still aiming to come this fall. One thing that Schreier mentions contradicts some previous rumors, namely that the game will be a “reboot” of the Black Ops subseries. He says he doesn’t believe that’s the case, and also believes the setting will be Vietnam.
While, of course, Schreier is one of the most reliable sources out there, these are still rumors until something official comes out. Even he says things can change, so take it as it comes. But there does seem to be a consistent theme in most leaks. We’ll keep you updated.
I don’t think it’s a reboot

As of right now it's still planned for fall, but nobody knows what's going to happen in the coming months!

I’m not a COD person so I don’t know anything about all the lore shenanigans or what it really means to be a Black Ops game, but one title I’ve heard thrown around a couple times is just “COD: Vietnam.” As far as I know it’s part of the Black ops series though? Not sure
