CD Projekt RED Has Unannounced, Triple-A RPG in Development

Aside from Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher dev will release another story-driven title by 2021.

During its management board report on 2017 activities, CD Projekt RED talked about Cyberpunk 2077, it’s upcoming sci-fi RPG that it plans to showcase at E3 2018, along with its plans for the same. The game itself has a release time frame of 2017 to 2021 – and since it’s currently 2018, it seems like more time will be taken.

Though Cyberpunk 2077 is a fairly big deal for the company, it does have something else in development. As per the studio, it has an unannounced, triple-A story-driven RPG that it plans to release in the same window. At most, we can expect it by 2021.

No further details were provided but is it too much to ask for a new Witcher title that has Ciri in a central role? That would be fairly cool, especially given the ending of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Smart money’s on this being a new intellectual property though. Along with these two games, the developer is also busy with collectible card game Gwent: The Witcher Card Game which is out this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
