CDPR Responds To Witcher 3 PS4 Graphics Downgrade Claims Post Patch 1.04, Patch 1.06 Incoming & More

A number of bug fixes are on the way.

A few days ago The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PS4 received patch 1.04. However according to some users on CD Projekt’s official forums, the patch has downgraded the game’s visuals. According to some users, the patch has reduced the quality of anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing and draw distance. Although we have not verified the claims above, CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot has responded to the situation.

“Nothing has been downgraded as of patch 1.04 on consoles. Nothing has been cut down or removed from the game. All assets/post-processes/features are still there,” Marcin assured players. He also confirmed that they are already working on patch 1.06 but there is no release time frame at the moment.

For users who are experiencing a strange bug wherein crowns disappear all of a sudden, Marcin stated that this will be fixed in an upcoming patch. He also acknowledged another bug wherein Lambert will disappear in The Final Trial quest. Patch 1.04 has not yet hit the Xbox One, however Marcin revealed that it’s currently in certification. “The patch 1.04 for Xbox One is in the certification process. We hope it will become available any day now. Unfortunately we do not have any information regarding when exactly will that happen. We have to ask for a little bit more patience from your side.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
