Square Enix have released a new trailer for their upcoming HD remaster/collector’s compilation of the first haf of the fan favorite Kingdom Hearts series. Titled Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5, the collection includes the HD remaster of the first game’s Final Mix edition, available in the west for the first time as part of this release, along with Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. It also includes a theater mode with movies and cutscenes that cover the events from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, in addition to also providing over sixty orchestrated soundtracks.
Kingdom Hearts HF 1.5 ReMIX (yes, that is what it is titled) will be available on the Playstation 3 exclusively this year. No doubt it is part of a drive to bring all the series fans up to speed on the series’ increasingly convoluted chronology and timeline, that now spans five different platforms. It launches later this year. Kingdom Hearts III, the final entry in the series, has been announced for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
