Shortly after announcing it couple of months ago, 2K confirmed that Civilization 7 would launch at some point in Q1 2025, and though a specific release date is expected to be announced imminently, that information seems to have leaked ahead of time.
As per prominent leaker billbil-kun on Twitter, Civilization 7 is going to launch on February 11 next year. The leaker says its standard edition will be priced at $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and at $59.99 on Nintendo Switch, with its deluxe edition retailing for $99.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and $89.99 on Nintendo Switch. The latter will allegedly include five days of early access, allowing players access to the game on February 6.
Presumably, the game’s pricing on PS4 and Xbox One will be equivalent to the Nintendo Switch. Details on how its PC version will be priced remain unknown.
We should find out soon enough, however. Civilization 7 is set to be showcased at Gamescom Opening Night Live later today, which is likely where we’ll hear more about its release. Later today, 2K and Firaxis will also share an extensive gameplay deep dive, while August 21 will see the game showcased at Future Games Show.
