After the reveal of the English-speaking cast for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive has outlined its French cast. You can check out how they sound in the latest gameplay trailer (which previously confirmed the release window). It’s unknown whether the outfits and baguettes are available to unlock in-game.
Among the voice actors is Alexandre Gillet, who plays Gustave. He’s famously known as the dub-over artist for Elijah Wood and Ryan Gosling, lending his voice to The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Notebook, and more. Adeline Chetail plays Maelle and has experience dubbing for titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Last of Us series.
Céline Melloul plays Lune and has provided the French voice for characters like Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Nico Robin in the One Piece anime. Sarah Cornibert of Black Mirror and Lupin the Third fame voices Sciel, while Féodor Atkine, who plays Renoir, is known as the French voice for Emhyr var Emreis in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Then you have Slimane Yefsah, who plays Verso and has had roles in Assassin’s Creed Origins and League of Legends.
If that weren’t enough, Bruno Magne (God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 7 Remake) and Maxence Cazorla (Ineffable, Eon’s Echo) are also part of the cast, though their roles have yet to be announced.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launches in Spring 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It retails for $50, with the developer promising over 30 hours to complete its main story.
