Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Voice Cast Includes Andy Serkis, Charlie Cox, Ben Starr, and More

Developer Sandfall Interactive has revealed the star-studded English voice cast for its upcoming RPG, which will also feature the likes of Jennifer English, Kristy Rider, and others.

Alongside showcasing a new gameplay trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developer Sandfall Interactive has also revealed the fantasy RPG’s full English voice cast (which is quite star-studded, to say the least), along with offering new details on some of the game’s key characters with an update on the PlayStation Blog.

Gustave – the lead engineer of the eponymous Expedition 33 – is played by Charlie Cox of Daredevil fame, and is hellbent on defeating the Paintress to fight for a better future for the people of Lumière, where he grew up. Then there’s Maelle, described as a “shy loner” and the foster sister of Gustave, and the youngest member of the Expedition at 16. She is voiced by Jennifer English, who was also the voice of Baldur’s Gate 3’s Shadowheart.

Then there’s Lune, the Expedition’s chief researcher. Voiced by Kristy Rider (The Sandman), Lune has her own personal stakes in the quest to defeat the Paintress, as she looks to finish the work that her parents started. There’s also Sciel, played by Shala Nyx (The Old Gyard), and described as “a calm and cheerful warrior”.

Another key character is Verso, who is a “dangerous tracker” who seems to be on the Expedition’s tail for some mysterious reason. He is voiced by Ben Starr, who was the voice of Final Fantasy 16 protagonist Clive Rosfield. Starr describes Verso as “lost, lonely, and dangerous”.

Meanwhile, prolific and celebrated actor Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars, Black Panther) has also been confirmed for Expedition 33’s English voice cast. Serkis will voice Renoir, who, according to Sandfall Interactive, is “a man relentlessly driven to save his family”, who is willing to pay whatever price is necessary for victory against the Paintress.

Finally, it’s been confirmed Rich Keeble and Maxence Cazorla have also been confirmed for the game’s cast, though Sandfall Interactive hasn’t offered details on which characters they’ll be playing.
