We reported yesterday that a rather mysterious Contra listing had appeared on German retailer site. We still aren’t too sure what exactly that is all about, but we did get some news of a more confirmed nature today, as Konami revealed the remaining games in the announced Contra: Anniversary Collection.
Via IGN, Konami revealed the complete list of the collection. We already knew half of it from before: Contra (Arcade), Super Contra (Arcade), Super C (NES), and Contra 3: The Alien Wars (Super NES). Joining them will be some expected entries like Contra: Hard Corps (Sega Genesis) and Operation C (Game Boy), but also some unexpected ones in Probotector (Sega Mega Drive) and Super Probotector: Alien Rebels (Super NES), which were European and Australian-only version of Hard Corps and Contra 3, respectively, which replaced the human protagonists with robots. It was also confirmed that Japanese editions of six of the titles will be available shortly after launch. For a full list of the games, see below.
Contra: Anniversary Collection will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC some time this summer.
