After hitting 250,000 units sold in its first week, Pugstorm’s Core Keeper is now at 500,000 sales. It first launched into Steam Early Access on March 8th and currently has over 5,000 user reviews with 91 percent “Very Positive rating.” The developer also confirmed that almost two million hours have eben watched on Twitch thus far.
Set in an ancient cavern, Core Keeper sees the player explores its depths in search of a relic. Along with mining and gathering resources, one must craft equipment, defeat monsters, farm, and much more. The environment is procedurally generated and supports up to eight players. Along with the way, you’ll have to take down bosses and unravel the mystery surrounding the Core.
Core Keeper is expected to launch out of early access by 2022 end, though this could change depending on feedback. In the meantime, it’s been officially verified for Valve’s Steam Deck, letting players take it on the go. Stay tuned for more details on the game in the coming months.
