A Crackdown 3 teaser site has mysteriously popped up, hosted on Microsoft’s server. The teaser site lists out several “mission dates,” the first of which is June 10th, with three additional “missions” listed, up to June 30th. The site appears to be part of some kind of ARG (Augmented Reality Game), a common enough promotional gimmick: Nvidia’s Order of Ten ARG stumped half the internet in the week prior to Pascal’s launch.)
Interestingly a bit of code at the bottom-right corner of the page says “Beta_Init.” This seemingly indicates that the game’s beta may be made available soon, exciting considering that we still don’t have a concrete release date apart from a vague TBD 2016.
Crackdown 3 is all set to be an exhilarating return to form for the series. What’s particularly eye-catching is that Crackdown 3 will be making use of Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform to offload physics calculations to the cloud. This allows for unprecedented levels of destructibility.
Thanks, VideoGamer.
