Activision has announced the impossible- a release date for a video game that is being, not delayed, but moved up. The Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC versions of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy were originally going to launch on July 10- now, they will be coming out on June 29 instead.
Activision’s announcement cites “positive fan reaction” to the announcement of these additional versions as the reason for the change, but it’s highly unlikely that that is the real reason- it’s probably just that logistics that were previously thought untenable can now work out better for an earlier release. Not that we should complain.
Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy includes lovingly redone remakes of the PlayStation era Crash Bandicoot trilogy, and was originally launched for PS4 last year. Now, fans on Xbox, Switch, and PC will be able to play through the best outings of the former PlayStation mascot, and Naughty Dog’s original darling character too.
