Pearl Abyss has continued its post-launch support for Crimson Desert with yet another update, this time around bringing in new challenges that reward players with more pet slots, as well as a variety of bug fixes and stability improvements. The update is out now on PC, with consoles slated to get it as soon as possible depending on the studio’s roll out schedule.
With the new challenges rewarding more pet slots, players can now register up to 100 pets. While the maximum number of pets is much higher now, at camp, players will still be limited to summoning up to 50 of them. In further pet-related improvements, baby wyverns now get a dedicated map icon.
There have also been other additions to the game, like shopkeepers now being able to get their hands on rare equipment that the player may have lost. Through this, players now no longer have to worry about permanently losing their rare gear if they happen to drop or destroy it, since they can now just buy those items back from a shopkeeper. The pinball minigame has also seen some adjustments, leading to its overall difficulty being lowered. For more details on the update, check out the full patch notes below.
Crimson Desert is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Since its release in March, the open-world action-adventure game has seen a tremendous level of success, with Pearl Abyss announcing earlier this week that it had sold 6 million copies so far. As for its post-launch support, the studio has said that it will continue with these free updates as long as players continue to ask for them.
