Crysis 3 Patches Arrive, Fix Graphics and Gameplay Issues

Crytek helps improve the experience slightly with a slew of fixes.

A pair of patches – Patch 1.2 and Data Patch C – have arrived for Crysis 3 which help fix a number of shader issues and also provide plenty of gameplay fixes.

Some of the things that Patch 1.2, aimed at the PC versions, fixes include dog tags awarded after matches not loading from one’s profile correct from not loading from the profile correctly, graphics driver crashes, particle shades that caused black squares on some GPUs, shader issues with underwater fog, and issues concerning the default controls for weapon customization and vehicles.

Data Patch C muxes about with specific gameplay elements such as reducing the fire rate and incresing the per pellet damage fall off of the Jackal, tweaks to matchmaking to help find local sessions on PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and slightly reducing the effectiveness of the Laser sight.

No word on a patch that makes the game more enjoyable yet (heyo!), but these latest ones should help make things more bearable.
