Post-E3, CD Projekt RED revealed that it would have live gameplay demos for Cyberpunk 2077 at Gamescom. So where’s the gameplay? As it turns out, the developer will stream 15-minute edit of the Gamescom demo on August 30th at 11 AM PT on Twitch and Mixer.
This gameplay was originally meant to be showcased PAX West 2019 but since there won’t be an on-site panel, the decision was made to stream from Warsaw. Along with the stream, there will also be developer interviews for more information. In the accompanying blog post, the studio said to, “Expect a lot of insight into the thought process behind creative decisions, information about Pacifica—one of the districts of Night City—and TONS of stuff on playstyles you’ll be able to adopt when you launch Cyberpunk 2077 next year.”
There have been several ray-traced screenshots of the game showcased during Gamescom, which can be seen here. CD Projekt RED also talked about adding multiplayer post-launch and also offered some details on dealing with the law in Night City. Long story short, flee for your life.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out on April 16th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The title will also be coming to Google Stadia.
