Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Concept Art Teases the Black Sapphire Club

Owned by Dogtown leader Kurt Hansen, the clandestine club attracts the elite from Night City and abroad for shady purposes.

It’s a busy month for CD Projekt RED and Cyberpunk 2077, with the latter receiving its massive 2.0 update and then the paid expansion, Phantom Liberty. The latter introduces a new district, Dogtown, and while we’ve seen some of the seedier locations, including the Black Market, there are also locations housing the elite.

As revealed in new concept art, the Black Sapphire is a clandestine club owned by Colonel Kurt Hansen, who runs Dogtown. Located “on top of his sanctuary,” it hosts Night City’s elite and those from the world. It’s a place to make all sorts of shady deals “secure from all except the watchful eye of Kurt, naturally,” the tweet reads.

It’s thus possible that Hansen going after NUSA president Rosalind Myers would attract the attention of international eyes, though for what purposes remains to be seen. Regardless, it should be interesting to see how V and characters like Solomon Reed, an FIA sleeper agent looking to rescue Myers, fit in.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out everything you should know about it here.
