CD Projekt RED has announced that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty sold over five million copies last year. The expansion topped three million units sold within its first week and received extensive acclaim from critics and fans.
Phantom Liberty offers a substantial new story set in Dogtown, a lawless district under the purview of former NUSA colonel Kurt Hansen. After President Rosalind Myers’ shuttle goes down in the district, V works with the mysterious Songbird to help out. Things eventually turn into a spy game with betrayals and intrigue.
The expansion features over 100 new items, including new weapons and Cyberware, while adding new activities like Courier Missions and Airdrops. Check out our review here for more details. Cyberpunk 2077 also received the massive Update 2.0, which revamped the game’s core elements, like the police system and added vehicular combat.
