Cyberpunk 2077 – RiME’s Lead Level Designer Joins CD Projekt RED

Manuel Mendiluce will be joining the Cyberpunk 2077 team in January.

After Cyberpunk 2077’s associate design director Kyle Rowley left CD Projekt RED last week to join up with Control developers Remedy, the Polish studio has now welcomed a new member to its team. Manual Mendiluce, who worked at indie studio Tequila Works as lead level designer for eight years, having worked on games like RiME and Deadlight, will be joining the Cyberpunk 2077 team at CD Projekt RED in January, he has announced.

Cyberpunk 2077’s official Twitter, of course, responded to Mendiluce’s tweet, saying that they’ll take good care of him, which is nice to see.

Meanwhile, in related news, if you’re curious about when exactly Cyberpunk 2077 will be out, while there’s no official word from CDPR itself, recent speculation has pegged the RPG for a release in Q4 of 2019. If you want even more Cyberpunk 2077 information, from its level design and open world to player choice, side quests, and much, much more, we recently conducted an interview with level designer Miles Tost.
