When Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches later this month, it will be bringing a whole host of new content, from a new campaign to another district being added to the open world to the new Relic tree system.
But of course, alongside it, CD Projekt RED is also releasing a free update that will overhaul several significant systems and mechanics in the base game on PC and current-gen consoles as well, including skill trees and perks, cyberware, the police system, vehicular combat, crafting and loot, and much more.
It is, evidently, going to be a beefy update that’s promising to raise the bar for the base game to bring it in line with the experience that the aforementioned expansion will deliver, but when exactly will be out? Apparently, we’ll know soon enough.
Taking recently to Twitter, CD Projekt RED’s global community director Marcin Momot recently confirmed that details on when Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 will go live will be shared sometime next week. Presumably, it won’t be too long from that point before the update is out.
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will launch on September 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
