Cyberpunk 2077 – Update 2.3 Delayed, Similar in Scope to Update 2.2

CD Projekt RED planned to launch the RPG's latest update on June 26th but needs "more time to make sure we're happy with it."

It’s no secret that CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 will receive new update, but it didn’t confirm a release window. In a new post on BlueSky, the developer has since announced that Update 2.3 was planned to go live on June 26th, but the team needs “more time to make sure we’re happy with it.”

As such, it won’t be arriving on that day, with more details to be revealed later. However, it did confirm a similar scope to Update 2.2, which arrived last December. CD Projekt RED teamed with Virtuos on the same and added extensive new customization options to the role-playing game, including vehicle colors and 112 new Character Creator options.

It also introduced ten new vehicles and allowed for Johnny Silverhand to appear while you’re driving. There’s even a new Drone option in Photo Mode.

Like previous updates, Update 2.3 will be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC versions (and the newly launched Nintendo Switch 2 port). Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

Hey chooms,We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we'll need some more time to make sure we're happy with it – we're aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2. We'll update you further as soon as we can!We appreciate your patience!
