Sony’s decision to begin releasing its first party PlayStation exclusives for PC came as a surprise for many people, especially in the context of how they’ve operated as a first party publisher in the past. Horizon Zero Dawn was the first game to make that jump, but though there were numerous reports claiming that it would be the first of many games to be doing that, no announcements for PC ports of other PlayStation games have been forthcoming.
Well, it seems that’s going to be changing soon. Speaking in an interview with GQ, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan confirmed that SIE Bend Studio’s 2019 open world action-action title Days Gone will be coming to PC this Spring. What’s more, that’s not the only PlayStation game you can expect to play on PC, with supposedly “a whole slate” of other first party Sony games getting PC ports in the future as well.
With the likes of Bloodborne, God of War, Dreams, and many more, there’s no shortage of major, beloved Sony first party games that could be coming to PC. All of this is speculation for now, but given the massive amount of demand there has been for PC ports of many of these games, one would hope that Sony will want to cash in on the demand.
Days Gone is currently available on PS4, and is playable on PS5 via backward compatibility with some pretty impressive enhancements. You can read our review of the game through here.
