Having recently gone gold, Days Gone is now a little over a month away from its worldwide launch, but developers SIE Bend Studio already have some other stuff planned for the game even beyond its release. That, of course, means that the game will be receiving post-launch DLC.
While speaking in an interview with YouTube channel GamerBraves (which you can view below), Bend Studio’s Community Manager David Lee confirmed that Sony will be releasing post-launch DLC for the game, but didn’t go into any details about what it will entail (unsurprisingly), while also giving assurances that the base game in and of itself would satisfactorily tell the stories of the game’s characters.
“We have unannounced DLC but we cannot tell you about it yet,” said Lee. “So keep an eye out for that. With the main story, it should be sufficient enough to tell you the characters’ backstories that make you care for them one way or another.”
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, most high profile Sony releases in recent years have received DLC after launch. That said, it looks like there’s going to be plenty of content in the base game itself as well- Bend recently confirmed that the game will be roughly 30 hours long, while its map is looking pretty big as well.
Days Gone launches on April 26 for the PS4.
