Since its launch back in 2016, Dead by Daylight has continuously grown, improved, and evolved, to the point where it’s currently one of the best-supported and most widely played live service multiplayer games on the market. Unsurprisingly, the success enjoyed by the horror asymmetric multiplayer title is reflected in its player numbers as well.
Taking to Twitter, Behaviour Interactive recently announced that Dead by Daylight has surpassed 60 million lifetime players across all platforms since its launch over seven years ago. To commemorate this milestone, the developer is giving away free one million Bloodpoints and 6,000 Shards to everyone who enters the code THANKYOUFOR60 in the in-game store between now and January 4.
Dead by Daylight has enjoyed a consistent cadence of post-launch support over the years, and in recent months, has added several new playable characters, events, and more. The most playable Killer, Chucky from the Child’s Play movie franchise, was added on November 28.
Behaviour Interactive has also partnered with external studios to expand the Dead by Daylight IP with additional projects, with Supermassive Games working on a single player narrative-driven horror game, and Midwinter Entertainment working on a PvE multiplayer experience.
