Dead Cells Comes To iOS This Summer

An Android version is also in the pipeline.

Motion Twin’s excellent roguelike metroidvania action title, Dead Cells – one of the best games of 2018 – is coming to iOS devices in the Summer, thanks to the efforts of mobile publishing specialists Playdigious. An Android version of the game has also been confirmed, though it’s not yet been announced when exactly that will be releasing.

The mobile version of Dead Cells will, as one might expect, be catered to be played on touch screen-only devices. Players will be able to customize and remap controls, including swiping to dodge, or changing the positions and sizes of the on-screen buttons, while external MFi controller support is also confirmed. There will also be two game modes- original, and auto-hit, so choose based on what you’re more comfortable with on mobile devices.

Dead Cells is an incredible game, so it’s great to see it being made available to even larger audiences. It is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, having sold over million copies as of the end of March. Developers Motion Twin have been supporting it with lots of new content ever since its release last year. Just recently, the Rise of the Giants DLC was rolled out, and the developers have no plans to stop with new content updates any time soon– though it doesn’t look like they’ll ever be working on sequel.
