Motive Studio and Electronic Arts have finally debuted gameplay for the upcoming remake of Dead Space. Built from the ground up on Frostbite engine, the sci-fi survival horror shooter looks pretty stunning. Check it out below.
As engineer Isaac Clarke, players board the USG Ishimura, which mysteriously lost contact. It’s not long before nightmares start though, as horrifying creatures known as Necromorphs roam the halls. The only solution is to cut off their limbs, though as Isaac explores the ship, he’ll come across even more disgusting variants. He may even learn what happened to his girlfriend Nicole, and they’ll live happily ever after.
Several key sequences from the original have been recreated stunningly, whether it’s the Leviathan or the zero-gravity traversal outside of the ship. Dead Space is out on January 27th, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC with pre-orders now live. Along with “re-injecting” lore from other titles, it will play as “one sequential shot” with no camera cuts.
