UPDATE: The launch trailer has now been officially uploaded by EA. You can view it at the bottom of this report.
Original story follows:
The launch trailer for Motive Studio’s remake of Dead Space officially goes live on January 12th, 8 PM PST. However, it seems to have been leaked early on Steam. While no longer publicly viewable, the link is still available (as discovered by Reddit user hector_evil). Check it out through the link.
As a brief introduction to the game, the trailer sees engineer Isaac Clarke and the USG Kellion’s crew arriving at the Ishimura for repairs. However, all is not right – the Ishimura’s crew isn’t so much missing as mutated into horrendous monsters known as Necromorphs. Modifying tools to cut off their limbs and discovering other technology like Stasis, Isaac must fight them off and ultimately rescue Nicole, his girlfriend.
Dead Space is out on January 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Though it follows the same story, the visuals have been redesigned from the ground up with revamped environments, atmospherics, lighting, and much more. Even Isaac Clarke’s model resembles actor Gunner Wright, who returns to lend his voice to the protagonist. For more details, check out our feature here.
