Motive Studios and Electronic Arts have announced a date for the Dead Space remake’s next livestream. It airs on March 11th at 10 AM PST via YouTube. As for what to expect, the developer simply stated this to be the “latest” in a series of “early looks at development.”
Announced at last year’s EA Play Live, the remake will be rebuilding the original game from the ground-up on Frostbite Engine. Along with improved visuals, it will leverage the SSDs on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 to eliminate loading screens while also supporting 3D audio. In the last major developer livestream, Motive offered look at changes to the classic dismemberment system.
Each weapon has a different effect on a Necromorph, like removing flesh or being more suited to dismemberment. The entire system for Zero-G movement is also being overhauled to mimic that of Dead Space 2 with new environments and challenges for the same being added.
Dead Space will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Though it doesn’t have a release date, rumors indicate it could be coming this Fall.
