Death Stranding Director’s Cut Out on September 24th for PS5

New story missions, new enemies, more combat options and additional delivery methods - like the Cargo Catapult and Buddy Bot - are revealed.

After a sudden announcement at the Summer Game Fest, Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding Director’s Cut finally received some concrete details. It’s out on September 24th for PS5 with pre-orders currently open. The title has been remastered for PS5, which can be seen in the 60 frames per second performance but there’s a lot more to expect.

As the new trailer reveals, there are new battles – including a giant BT worm – and new enemies to fight. Melee has seen some upgrades while new weapons like the Master Gun and mounted machine guns have been added. There’s also a Firing Range for players to practice their gun skills.

More options for smoother delivery have also been unveiled including the Cargo Catapult which shoots out deliveries a far distance away; the Support Skeleton that can carry additional cargo; the Buddy Bot, which seems to offer more mobility; and the Jump Ramp for, well, sweet jumps. There’s also the Fragile Circuit for racing because why not? Naturally, there will be new Story missions as well.

Stay tuned for more details on Death Stranding Director’s Cut in the coming weeks.
