Death Stranding: Hideo Kojima Teases Motion Capture Yet Again

Why are we still here? Just to wait for Kojima's next tease?

Hideo Kojima has posted a new update on his Instagram page- and yes, that is news now. That is what we’ve come to. This is the kind of deranged insanity Kojima inspires in people. When you don’t tell us what your game is actually about, Kojima-san, we will have to obsessively hit refresh on your Instagram feed for even the tiniest morsel of something that even hints at new details.

Kojima’s new update is a picture of motion capture equipment in a studio, so, yeah, it’s teasing motion capture stuff. Obviously, since this is a Hideo Kojima game (and given the immensely star-studded cast this game is going to boast of when it finally launches), Death Stranding is going to have a ton of cutscenes (unless we’re in for more of what The Phantom Pain gave us), which means a ton of motion capture work as well.

Speaking of that star-studded cast, we recently heard rumblings that famous comedian and long-time Kojima fan Kumail Nanjiani might be making cameo appearance in the game. Death Stranding launches- we don’t know when, actually. Industry analyst Michael Pachter believes it might even be cross-generation game.
