Death Stranding Latest Trailer Will Make Sense After Playing The Game For 4-5 Hours

Maybe they should make a five hour long trailer.

We’re all still wondering just what the hell it was that we saw when Hideo Kojima treared us to a new seven minute-long trailer for Death Stranding at The Game Awards recently. I mean, I know I liked it, but I don’t know what it was, and I’m pretty sure I’m not even close to being the only one who feels this way.

Sony executive Mark Cerny, who’s been involved with the development of Death Stranding as well, though, says that the trailer actually starts to make sense once you’ve played the game’s first four or five hours. At PSX 2017, Cerny stated that he’s played the first few hours of the game, and in light of what he’s seen and experienced, the trailer that we saw – or at least part of it – do make sense in context of the game’s setting and narrative.

It definitely feels like Kojima has a very strong vision in mind for Death Stranding, and the three trailers, though bizarre and outlandish, do seem to be in line with that. We just hope Kojima decides to reveal in the near future just what the hell that vision is.

Yesterday, we also reported that the trailer we saw at The Game Awards was running in real-time on a PlayStation 4 Pro and being rendered in 4K resolution. You can read all about it here.
