Though Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions have been almost frustratingly cryptic with what they’ve revealed and shown of their upcoming Death Stranding so far, their fellow developers at other studios in the industry have apparently been far luckier in that regard. From God of War director Cory Barlog to Horizon: Zero Dawn creators Guerrilla Games, we’ve been hearing about developers who’ve seen private gameplay of Death Stranding (and come away very impressed).
Add one more name to that list. Sam Lake, chief of Remedy Entertainment, responsible for the likes of Max Payne, Alan Wake, and the upcoming Control, has apparently seen Death Stranding in action as well, and he seems to be very impressed with what he’s seen. Lake recently put up an update on Twitter, calling Kojima “an inspiration”, before saying that Death Stranding “dares to push the boundaries”.
Though we’ve received no official word on this so far, there’s been a lot of evidence lately to suggest that we’ll be able to see all that stuff for ourselves this year itself. From Norman Reedus, to Troy Baker, to Hideo Kojima himself, there have been teases that suggest a 2019 release for Death Stranding. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
