Bungie’s open beta for Destiny 2 is now officially available for players on the Xbox One and PS4. Regardless of whether you pre-ordered or not, you can download the beta and see what the game has to offer.
Destiny 2’s open beta includes the first story mission Homecoming; a co-op Strike called The Inverted Spire involving the Vex; two Crucible modes in Countdown and Control with two maps; and a chance to try out the new sub-classes like the Arcstrider Hunter, Dawnblade Warlock and Sentinel Titan.
Players can also try out the new weapons, Kinectic/Energy/Power system of load-outs and much more. Heck, you can even glitch into a Lost Sector if you’re clever enough. It should be noted that the Homecoming mission can be played without PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold. Every other mode and mission requires its respective console’s subscription service.
The beta will also be coming to PC but in late August. Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4 while the PC version arrives on October 24th.
