Bungie’s first expansion for Destiny 2 is now live with Curse of Osiris. It brings a new zone in Mercury, a new called the Infinite Forest, three new Adventures, one Lost Sector and some new story missions. Heck, some of those story missions are even repurposed to provide two new Strikes.
While more content is on the way, namely the Eater of Worlds raid lair, it’s interesting to note that the Nightfall and Prestige Nightfall are locked for non-DLC owners. That applies to Trials of the Nine. You could argue that this is fine, especially if new DLC Strikes or Crucible maps are used for those activities.
However, the Prestige Leviathan raid is also locked out. Considering this activity is part of the base game itself and hasn’t seen any DLC-exclusive changes (the Power level increase doesn’t count), this comes off as kind of scummy for Bungie. Then again, judging by impressions from most players, the lion’s share of Curse of Osiris seems to be in the Eververse items rather than any meaningful content or story.
