Destiny 2 Early Access Beta Now Live on Xbox One

Players who pre-order can try out the new missions and modes early.

As with the PlayStation 4 version, Xbox One players who have pre-ordered Bungie’s Destiny 2 can now play the beta early. It went live on July 19th at 10 AM PST.

Featuring the first story mission “Homecoming” and The Inverted Spire Strike, the Destiny 2 beta also provides players access to some of the new sub-classes like Sentinel, Dawnblade and Arc Strider.

PvP modes like the new Countdown and Control (albeit with some changes) are also available along with new maps like the Endless Vale and Mid Town. Players also get access to the new weapons, testing out a more re-balanced system of load-outs, while receiving access to different Exotics as well.

Thus far, early access beta players have been criticizing it for being too focused on PvP at the cost of PvE. Bungie is already addressing a few of the issues like weapon damage and how little Power Ammo drops at times. We’ll see how the final build of Destiny 2 works when it launches on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. PC players get it on October 24th.
