Since Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launched and introduced Armor 2.0, there have been some common complaints. These usually pertain to Elemental Affinities, where a good piece of armor that’s also high Power may not be the right fit for certain mods. There was also the little bit about armor being useless when a new season rolls around since it can’t accept new seasonal mods.
Bungie has announced that it’s making changes to both, starting with the next Season. Players will be able to change the Elemental Affinity on any piece armor piece, though there is a catch. Changing Affinity costs an Upgrade Module but if you’ve already upgraded the armor to its highest level, then the cost of changing will be the total amount of materials poured into it along with the Module. This can get especially expensive when trying to change Masterworked Armor.
Thankfully, seasonal mod changes are more straightforward and you can equip mods from any season onto a piece of armor. So if you have Season of the Undying mods lying around, then they can be equipped on Season of Dawn armor. Likewise, Season of Dawn mods can be equipped on future seasonal armor. Again though, these changes will only go live with the next season.
