Bungie’s PC beta for Destiny 2 is currently live. That is, for those who pre-ordered the game. They receive early access but don’t fret – the beta will be open to all PC players on August 29th and will end on August 31st.
Destiny 2 on the PC is accessible through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher and contains a number of graphical options over the console versions. These include an uncapped frame rate, resolutions up to 4K, an FOV slider and much more.
The content of the PC beta is only slightly different from consoles – it features a new Control map called Javelin-4. Other than that, the PC beta has the same opening mission called “Homecoming”, the Inverted Spire Strike and Countdown on Mid Town. Bungie has noted that changes to PvE damage, Super energy gain and more have been introduced with this build.
Destiny 2 releases on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4 but PC players will need to wait till October 24th to get their hands on it.
