Destiny 2 PC “Not A Port”, Activision/Blizzard Crossovers Discussed

Destiny 2 will support features "that PC gamers expect."

Speaking to GameSpot today at E3 2017, community David “DeeJ” Dague explaind how Destiny 2 wasn’t going to be a port on PC. Even though it’s been a while since Bungie released a PC title, Dague promises that Destiny 2 will be “awesome on that platform.”

Describing the PC crowd as a “new breed of player”, Dague said, “This isn’t a port. The PC version of Destiny 2 is built from the ground up to be awesome on that platform and to look amazing and to play fluidly and to support the types of features that PC gamers expect.”

Though many community members who have had the chance to play Destiny 2 on PC call it the best version of the game, Dague notes that, “The best version is where you find your friends and where you’re comfortable.”

With Destiny 2 sharing the Battle.net platform with Blizzard titles, is there a possibility of crossovers with the latter’s games or any other Activision property for that matter? “[There is] no telling where this relationship will bring us in the future,” Dague said.

Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version comes on October 24th.
