Destiny 2 Servers Undergoing Maintenance at 9 AM PDT to Prep for The Final Shape

Maintenance will last 25 hours, with update 8.0.0.1 available to preload starting today at 10 AM PDT for all platforms.

Premature leak notwithstanding, Bungie is preparing to take Destiny 2 servers offline for the launch of The Final Shape. Maintenance begins at 9 AM PDT, during which third-party apps and sign-on will be unavailable. Destiny 1 and 2 will go offline for maintenance at 9:30 AM PDT, with players removed from activities at 10 AM PDT.

At the same time, update 8.0.0.1 can be preloaded. Those on Steam should note that they’ll need about 300 GB of free space for the preload. On June 4th, 10 AM PDT, players can log back into both games, though there may be queues and other issues. Maintenance will wrap up at noon PDT.

Of course, maintenance could take longer if issues arise, so keep that in mind. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC when it releases tomorrow.
