Destiny 2 – Shoulder Charge, Weighted Knife, and Handheld Supernova Nerfs Incoming

Bungie outlines even more changes coming with Season of the Worthy.

Bungie has a new season on the horizon for Destiny 2 with Season of the Worthy. It sees the return of end-game Crucible activity Trials of Osiris along with the original armor set and maps from Destiny 1. The studio even made the decision to disable Artifact Power for the activity following community backlash.

That being said, after last week’s outlined nerfs for sniper rifles and certain Exotics, even more balance changes will be made. Warlock melee attacks will have an additional range of 1 meter to offset the slow recovery time. Titan Barricades will go from 500 HP to 600 HP but take additional damage from anti-barrier weapons, Special weapons and some Heavy weapons.

However, nerfs are incoming for each class’s signature one-shot ability. Weighted Knife for Hunters will have “significantly” reduced tracking, though its new tracking will be “more faithful to its initial throw trajectory.” The Titan’s Shoulder Charge will have 50 percent reduced auto-targeting angle and 5.5 meter lunge range for both targeted and non-targeted foes.

Handheld Supernova for Warlocks is receiving the most number of changes. Its activation time has been increased by 0.6 seconds; hold time has been reduced from 3.5 to 2.5 seconds; range has been reduced by 20 percent; bolts now deal self-damage; and so on. As a trade-off though, Nova Warp will have more damage resistance and a longer duration along with Blink costing less Super energy.

Season of the Worthy goes live on March 13th. Stay tuned for more details on changes in the coming weeks.
