Destiny 2 Warmind Bug Prevents Heroic Strike Progress, Bungie Investigating

A number of solutions have been offered before a proper bugfix can be deployed.

Bungie’s Destiny 2: Warmind has launched with a rather annoying issue (or three). One of the game’s Milestones, which offers powerful gear when completed, requires the completion of Heroic Strikes. Of course, there’s also an Exotic quest which requires the same.

Unfortunately, this bug prevents Heroic Strike progress from being properly tracked. As a result, a number of players are unable to progress in the Exotic quest because of the lack of Heroic Strike tracking. We should also mention that these Strikes now have modifiers that can make things a lot harder for the average player.

Bungie at least acknowledged the issue and said it was investigating. Turns out when selecting Heroic Strikes, the game may place you into a regular Strike again. This won’t count towards progress, obviously.

To fix this, a number of solutions have been provided. Check them out below:

  • Assemble any non-matchmade Fireteam members before selecting the Heroic Strikes Playlist in the Director.
  • Ensure that no one is joining the Fireteam after the Heroic Strike Playlist has been selected, and make sure that no Fireteam members are in their menu before this activity is launched.
  • If players see a named strike (ex: “The Arms Dealer”) when selecting the Heroic Strikes Playlist in the Director before launching, they must back out of the Director and select the Heroic Strikes playlist again. Players will know that they are successfully queuing this playlist when “Heroic Strikes Playlist” appears on-screen.
  • Once the Heroic Strike Playlist has been successfully launched and players are heading toward their destination, players may safely navigate to their menu to swap gear, adjust settings, or review their inventory.

Destiny 2 Warmind launched on May 8th for PS4, Xbox One and PC and has been seeing its share of mixed views. What are your thoughts on it? Let us know  below.
