Destiny 2 Won’t Require “Latest and Greatest Hardware” on PC

You won't need a great PC to have fun.

Bungie’s Destiny 2 will be coming to PC and is exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net service. While this means strong support, the PC version will unfortunately not have dedicated servers like, say, Blizzard’s Overwatch. Given the original’s P2P nature and how things worked out decently enough, it’s not the end of the world.

There is somewhat of a bright spot for PC players though. Even with the extensive graphical options, Destiny 2 on PC won’t require the most high-end computer to enjoy. This is according to PC lead David Shaw when speaking to PC Gamer.

“[N]o, you absolutely won’t have to buy the latest and greatest hardware to be able to play the game and have a fun, quality experience.”

We’ll have to wait a few more months to learn more about the system requirements. As such, there’s no rush – Destiny 2 will be out on September 8th for Xbox One and PS4 but launches later on PC.
