With everything in Destiny 2 susceptible to sunsetting and numerous Exotic quests going away when Beyond Light launches, now is the best time for new players to collect all of the Exotics. To that end, Xur has returned and can be found on the Imperial Barge on Nessus. He’ll remain there until the weekly reset tomorrow.
Veteran players may not find a whole lot of “new” items though. The Exotic weapon this week is Merciless, a Fusion Rifle who’s charge time on each non-lethal shot is reduced. This continues until the user gets a kill. It’s far from the best Heavy Exotic, even by Fusion Rifle standards, but not a bad item for 29 Legendary Shards.
The Exotic gear this week includes Foetracer (Hunter helm), Aeon Safe (Titan gloves) and Wings of Sacred Dawn (Warlock chest), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Foetracer and Wings of Sacred Dawn have their uses, though once again, they’re surpassed by superior Exotics for both classes. Aeon Safe can be safely ignored.
As for Destiny 2: Beyond Light, it’s out on November 10th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. Check out details on one of the new Stasis subclasses, the Warlock Shadebinder, here.
