It’s the weekend, and that means Xur, Destiny 2’s Agent of the Nine, has returned. He can be found in the Winding Cove of the European Dead Zone, where he will remain until the next weekly reset. And continuing a welcome new trend, he’s carrying at least one Forsaken Exotic.
That Exotic is Contraverse Hold, Warlock gloves that grant damage resistance when charging a Void grenade with Feed the Void, Chaos Accelerant, or Handheld Supernova. Random amounts of grenade energy are returned with a charged grenade hit, so it can either be a boon or bane in Crucible. Contraverse Hold will set you back by 23 Legendary Shards.
Other Exotic gear includes Mask of the Quiet One (Titan helm) and Gemini Jester (Hunter boots). The Exotic weapon this week is The Huckleberry, a primary SMG that costs 29 Legendary Shards that offers increased rate of fire and recoil when holding the trigger down. Kills earned refund a portion of the magazine.
Of course, this week also marks the second Invitation of the Nine, “Justice”. Available to Annual Pass holders for 9 Legendary Shards, it requires collecting 9 samples each from Hive and Fallen along with completing the Strike “Savathûn’s Song.” Completing the invitation will earn another bit of Nine-related lore, so hop to it.
