Bungie’s Destiny 2 will see a new DLC coming out in a few days with Warmind. While it’s been receiving significant updates and improvements since launch, many hardcore fans may be waiting until the Fall expansion before hopping back in. Such expansions are usually the most significant for the shared world shooter.
In Activision-Blizzard’s recent call to investors and analysts following its Q1 2018 results, COO Coddy Johnson teased that the Fall expansion would have a new mode that’s “incredibly engaging”. During the recent community summit, Bungie allowed content creators and community members to try out some of the next expansion and noted a “very positive response”.
Interestingly, Johnson said that the new mode would introduce a “whole new style of play” for first person shooter titles in general. Described as a “really exciting development”, Activision believes it will “really speak to the community”. Look for the mode to be revealed at E3 2018 along with the new expansion itself (which should launch in September).
Meanwhile, Destiny 2’s Warmind DLC launches on May 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
