Destiny 2 will finally be launching in South Korea this Fall; but when it does, it will launch as Destiny: Guardians, a localized version of the game that makes several changes to its setup, and one that will be exclusive to the country.
Naver Sports, a Korean eSports website reports that the changes will include the ability to buy high level gear and loot straight from the Eververse, instead of just cosmetics. It also seems like the game will use a real world money system, and that Tess, the Eververse merchant, will be replaced by Yuna, a human vendor.
The announcement also seems to reference the Festival of the Lost, a Halloween themed event that we can assume will be returning this year as well- though on the other hand, there is the slightest bit of possibility that it remains exclusive to Destiny: Guardians.
For western Destiny players, this September sees the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken, the first full fledged expansion to the troubled game that many will doubtless be hoping provides it the same kind of overhaul that The Taken King did to the original Destiny. It will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
