Good news non-Destiny fans – there’s more Destiny news! Bungie has announced that a new hotfix has gone live for its online shooter Destiny and this is one that dramatically increases the drop rate for Husk of the Pit. This auto rifle can only be obtained from the Blades of Crota, which disappeared from Patrol when House of Wolves released, but you could still farm the one Blade in a single mission for a chance at it.
The problem was that the weapon never dropped. When it’s the first piece to obtaining the Exotic auto rifle Necrochasm, that can be a problem.
The new hotfix changes that, increasing the drop rate by 150 percent. It also updates various House of Wolves Crucible playlists to give less weight to maps like Twilight Gap and Pantheon. This will ideally result in more House of Wolves PvP maps showing up but who can truly say?
Finally, it seems that special orders vendor Tess Everis will be gone from the Tower temporarily. You can access a kiosk near Eva Levante for all of the old special items (like the EV-30 TUMBLER sparrow). Speculate away as to how this change will fit into The Taken King, Destiny’s next expansion, when it releases on September 15th.
