Destiny On PS4: No Suspend & Resume Functionality Until 1.1.2 Update

At the moment, Destiny players are feeling a little bit left out.

Sometimes, getting a new update to your gaming hardware can make you feel on top of the world. That’s probably why so many PlayStation gamers were recently enthused by the release of the 2.50 Yukimura firmware update. So what could possiby have PS4 gamers all riled up? For an unlucky number, the update temporarily bricks your console.

But if you escaped that and you’re an avid Destiny player, then you too could find yourself feeling more than a little bit stung. Destiny players can currently not make use of the Suspend and Resume feature for the PlayStation 4 build of the game, post update. If a Destiny player tries to put the game into suspension, they will receive the following message, “Cannot enter rest mode with the following application suspended. The PS4 will close this application and then enter rest mode.”

This will be followed by, “The PS4 will automatically close the application in 30 seconds”, but you can cancel the countdown and continue with your play session if you want to. The Suspend and Resume feature will be implemented when Destiny’s 1.1.2 update rolls out.
