Since Bungie released The Taken King, the company has also been working on a number of other little additions to the game it hopes players will enjoy. Some of these updates are rather large and some will probably be viewed as pretty minor. Among those updates was the addition of new emotes. For those that aren’t yet Taken King experts, emotes aren’t something that are going to help you in combat, but they will allow you to better show off your personality in the form of your Guardian.
Emotes are how people are able to dance, or point or salute other players. The brand new set of emotes are not coming free and when people first heard there were going to be microtransactions, people expected the worst. It turns out so far, those microtransactions have only been applied to those emotes. Along with the release of these new dances, salutes and pointing, the company is offering up bundles of “silver” that will be used to unlock the emotes. Players can buy 500 silver for $4.99 in real money. 1,100 silver can be purchased for $9.99 and 2,300 silver comes with a price tag of $19.99.
There are a number of different dances depending on how much silver you purchase. The most expensive emote, Enthusiastic Dance comes with a price tag of 500 silver. Slow cap ranks right up there as well. Most of the rest of the emotes have a price tag of 200 silver. That means the right package purchase will allow you to add a few new dances or points. The best news of all is that people who buy an emote and then decide they don’t want it, have 15 minutes to return it to Destiny’s The Taken King’s Eververse Trading Company.
