Destiny recently had several new gameplay details revealed including Strike missions, Guardian abilities, environmental design and of course, the awesome visuals. In conversation with PlayStation Access, Bungie community manager David Dague talked about there will be “very complicated end game activities that will challenge your problem solving and your teamwork.”
It was mentioned before that completing the end game missions will be difficult without some friends on your side, but Destiny will feature a companion app so that you can easily find team members to fight with you. Clan support is also a definite “yes” and Dague added that “Groups is something that we already support on Bungie.net.”
As for content you can look forward to down the line, Dague said, “Your first exposure to Destiny will have you exploring places like the moon. You will be fighting to reclaim corners of Earth. There will be Mars and there will be Venus. They won’t all be open to you at launch. Like we’ve said, it’s a world that evolves and unfolds before you over time. So this game is about discovery and it’s about exploration. So we’re sending you back out to the stars to reclaim everything we’ve lost, but you’ll have to take some baby steps and maybe even get knocked back a couple of times before you’re ready to voyage further.”
More details on the PvP, raids and the beta will be offered in the coming months, with new footage to be shown at E3. Destiny will be out on September 9th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.
