Destiny Update 2.3.0 Deploying Today, Changes Weapon and Class Balance

Most classes in general will be doing more damage in PvE.

Out of the blue, Bungie has released patch notes for update 2.3.0 of Destiny which will change the game’s classes and weapons.

Deploying later today (with Destiny going down for maintenance at 9 AM PDT to 11 AM PDT), update 2.3.0 will buff Gunslingers and Bladedancers especially with regards to the damage both classes do in PvE with their Supers. Viking Funeral on Sunsingers has been changed from increased damage over time to increased damage from all sources, which helps prevent players from burning out from two Firebolt grenades. Other changes include Tripmine damage being reduced and no longer sticking to enemies. It also seems that most Supers in general will be doing more damage in PvE.

Weapon changes include increased accuracy and PvE damage for handcannons, a damage nerf to fast-firing auto rifles like Doctrine of Passing, a reduction to Hawkmoon’s stability and a nerf to the Counterbalance perk. Bungie also sought to clarify what Rangefinger really does and how weapon handling works in the game.

What are your thoughts on all the changes, including the sudden springing of the same? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
