Bungie’s Destiny is receiving an update today and we have next to no idea what it’s for. Update 2.3.1 will be going live from 10 AM PDT onwards on July 26th.
Not all of Bungie’s updates are huge content patches. Most times, the developer deploys smaller patches to help fix a few minor issues which it documents later on. It should be noted that though Destiny won’t be down for the patch, you must grab it within four hours of its deployment or you’ll be logged out with the WEASEL error code until downloading the patch.
There have been some issues here and there relating to connectivity, drop rates in Iron Banner and other assorted nuisances that the Destiny community usually faces. We’ll find out exactly what the patch is for later but don’t expect anything drastic.
